Europe Accelerates Fighter Jet Production: Geopolitical Turmoil Demands Action
The demand for the Eurofighter Typhoon is sharply increasing as Europe’s defense faces rising threats. Production is dramatically increasing.
Europe is now responding vigorously to the growing security threats by significantly ramping up the production of the Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jet.
At the Paris Air Show 2025, CEO Jorge Degenhardt made it clear that an escalating global crisis is pressuring European nations to bolster their military capabilities.
From 12 to 30 Jets Annually
“We will increase the annual production rate from the current 12 jets, first to 20 and then, depending on future orders, all the way up to 30,” stated Degenhardt, highlighting how the geopolitical situation has become “complete madness.” The situation, according to him, demands that Europe respond quickly to ensure stability and security.

Growing Interest and New Customers
The Typhoon consortium is experiencing strong growth with new contracts, particularly from Germany, Spain, and Italy, which together have ordered 127 jets.
The export potential also looks promising, with up to 200 additional potential orders from countries like Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Austria, Greece, Portugal, and Poland. “Eurofighter Typhoon is a strategic pillar in European defense for decades to come,” Degenhardt emphasized.
Europe’s military capacity is thus rapidly being strengthened, with the Eurofighter Typhoon playing a central role in responding to global uncertainty, which, according to Degenhardt, only seems to be escalating.
