Elon Musk: “I Can’t Take It Anymore”

With a tweet dripping with disgust and frustration, Musk reacted to the latest U.S. spending bill. “I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”

The tweet was quickly shared and commented on thousands of times, leaving no doubt that Musk feels betrayed by Trump.

Failed Efforts at DOGE

Musk has long been an advocate for efficiency and public sector cutbacks. He led the DOGE project, spearheading efforts to find savings and streamline the government apparatus.

With the passage of the new budget—which he sees as the complete opposite of his vision—it seems he now considers his efforts to have been in vain.

No Comment from Trump (Yet)

Trump has not yet commented on Musk’s tweet, though he recently criticized those who voted “no” on the new legislative package dubbed the Big Beautiful Bill.

Whether this will turn into a social media war between Trump and Musk remains to be seen.
