The conservative TV commentator Tucker Carlson stirred controversy when he made bold claims about Jeffrey Epstein’s possible ties to the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad during the Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit in Tampa, Florida.

Epstein – Mossad Agent or Just Speculation?

According to Carlson, it is obvious that Epstein had direct connections to a foreign government. “No one dares to say openly that this government is Israel, because we’ve been intimidated out of even mentioning it,” Carlson declared to the audience, as reported by the Jerusalem Post.

He emphasized that his comments were not antisemitic or anti-Israel, but rather a legitimate question about foreign influence.

He went further, posing the underlying question about Epstein’s activities: “The real question isn’t whether Epstein abused young girls, but why he did it, for whom, and where the money came from.”

The Silence in Washington

According to Carlson, there is broad consensus among power brokers in Washington, D.C., that Epstein was connected to Mossad, but fear of being labeled antisemitic keeps people from speaking openly about the matter. “Everyone in Washington believes this,” he said, “and I don’t know anyone who hates Israel.”

Carlson compared the situation to his own conviction that the CIA was behind President Kennedy’s assassination, which he argued does not make one anti-American. “Criticizing a government’s actions doesn’t make you a hater, it makes you a free person,” he underscored.

Lack of Clarity from Israel

Carlson stated that the Israeli government has refused to comment directly when questioned about the issue. “Of course, the question has been put to the Israeli government, and their answer is, ‘We’re not going to tell you’,” he explained.

At the same time as Carlson’s controversial remarks, the U.S. Department of Justice released a report concluding that Epstein committed suicide and that there was no evidence of a blackmail list featuring prominent names.

A Debate With Consequences

Carlson believes the political correctness around the topic has created a “strange” debate, where important questions are ignored. “We have the right to know if foreign intelligence agencies are committing crimes on American soil, especially if we are providing financial support to those countries,” he stressed.

He concluded by calling for open debate and greater transparency around the Epstein case, which he believes will continue to bring new revelations despite official reports.
