Ukraine Plans Secret Drone Factories in Denmark – Putin’s Worst Nightmare Moves Closer
Ukraine’s most feared weapons could soon be manufactured on Danish soil. But experts warn: These factories would be obvious targets for sabotage.
The Superweapon That Strikes Moscow
In recent months, Ukraine has struck deep inside Russia using so-called deep strike drones – aircraft-like machines capable of carrying up to 250 kilograms of explosives and flying as far as 2,500 kilometers. Recent attacks near Moscow and Saint Petersburg have proven that even Russia’s best-protected airspace can be penetrated.
According to Ihor Fedirko, director of the Ukrainian umbrella organization for defense companies, Ukraine now wants to safeguard its most advanced technology by moving parts of production to Denmark, as reported by Berlingske:
“Ukraine is interested in producing deep strike drones in Denmark. It is about protecting our technology from Russian missiles.”
Denmark as a Production Hub
The names of the companies remain confidential, but according to Fedirko, one or two of Ukraine’s biggest arms manufacturers may be the first to start up in Denmark. Building such a factory could take up to two years.
The Ukrainian ambassador to Copenhagen, Andrij Janevskyj, emphasizes that NATO’s shield is a key reason for choosing to establish factories in Denmark:
“You are protected by the NATO Article 5 commitment. That’s why this does not introduce new security risks in Denmark.”
