Gaza: Hamas Leader Killed
Hamas leader Salah al-Bardawil has reportedly been killed in Gaza, according to multiple Arab media outlets.
Several sources, including Quds News and Reuters, report that Salah al-Bardawil—a senior member of Hamas’ political bureau—was killed alongside his wife in an Israeli airstrike targeting the city of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Since Saturday morning, Israeli airstrikes have reportedly claimed the lives of at least 32 Palestinians in various parts of Gaza. Al Jazeera reports that a strike on the Tal al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah, killed at least five people.
In northern Gaza, specifically in the Al-Shimaa area of Beit Lahia, three Palestinians—including a child—were killed when Israeli tanks shelled residential buildings and tents. The wounded were transported to the Indonesian Hospital in the area.
Meanwhile, two more Palestinians were injured in an Israeli airstrike on a tent camp housing internally displaced persons in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis.
An earlier airstrike on a home in the Al-Janina neighborhood in eastern Rafah also resulted in one fatality and several injuries.
Since fighting resumed Tuesday morning, Israeli attacks have reportedly killed 634 Palestinians and injured another 1,172. According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, the majority of the casualties are women and children.
