He has been indicted in Brooklyn on charges of sexual abuse, assault, and strangulation spanning a year and a half. Pitt was released on bail and has pleaded not guilty.

Multiple Serious Allegations

The charges begin in April 2020, when Pitt allegedly committed a sexual assault through force. Later that year, he is accused of forcing oral sex on another individual and using a “four by four” to injure them. In 2021, he allegedly assaulted someone with a cinderblock and attempted strangulation. The victims’ identities remain undisclosed.

Defense Lawyer Responds

Pitt’s attorney, James Goldman, called the accusations “completely out of context”: “We unfortunately live in a world where a man like Mr. Pitt […] can be accused based on one individual’s unreliable claims.” He maintains the case is baseless and will be dismissed.

From Icon to Indicted

Michael Pitt has played leading roles in series and films such as Dawson’s Creek, The Dreamers, and Last Days. But these allegations threaten to overshadow his career and tarnish his legacy.

The trial begins in June. Until then, Pitt firmly denies all charges and maintains his innocence.
